VJC College Day 2003
There was also APM 2003 at RJC, but was too tired after work to go. So took a nap and woke up barely in time to reach VJC by 4:30pm. In fact the GOH (Env Minister Lim SS) was already there. lol. So I hurried into the audi and plonked myself down in a convienient seat--and sat right next to some of my 02S61 juniors! Ha, so didn't feel so terribly out of place as preivously feared. The principal's report was decent (got my 10-seconds of fame in the form of a Special Mention too, heh) but GOH speech was...gah suffice to say all ministers sound alike. Delighted to see alot of friends go upstage to get awards. Though didn't win anything myself (missed the requisite 6 distinctions by 1, plus lost to Liz in E. Lit during Prelims), I was glad to see all these promising young pple win stuff.
After the whole thing was over came the highlight--meeting old friends. Met Erwin Teo, and alot of the RI bunch--Wilson, Jeremy, Zhi Jun, Kelvin, Kenny, even Yijia was back too! Took many many photos, will try to upload them somehow. Over the free reception dinner, had a good time catching up. Was also caught by juniors to do some video for Teacher's Day. So in the end was talked into making a (VERY LAME) tribute to Mr Harris, Ye Mighty Shocker of Students and Subverter of Our Shared Asian Values. Whee. In the end, hitched a lift home from Wilson's parents.
