Saturday

Knocked off work at 12 sharp and went off with Joel to Luke’s house for ye Much Awaited CAP Meeting to Discuss Serious Issues. Took 51 there. Luke’s family lives in the Vicarage of St Paul’s Church (near Heartland Mall). Like, cool huh (the vicarage, not the mall)? Erm, nice dog too, and Bingo was his name-o (I kid you not). Nice (read: non-biting) doggy!

Anyway, after the usual CrAP talk and tom-yum noodles (which we seemed to find too tom-yummy) we got down to business. Present were quite a number of CAPpers past and present, including Ian, Grace(s), Joshua, Wilfred, Ian, Michelle and of course ye Venerable Luke yhimself.

Took down notes during the eventual discussion, but too lazy to type them out. In any case Josh has already sent all of us neat and amusing minutes so shan't bother.

Played badminton, then watched a whole string of CAP videos. Man they’re funny and bring back old memories (and a good dose of deficient info-fear I’m sorry to add). Then went for Red with Gracie and a persuaded Josh. He’s a nice senior, glad to have met him. Claire (Chun) came in late for Red, halfway through Ublues’ item. Caught Pak, William and Shiming too at Red—yeah it’s THAT kind of concert, where the audience is mostly 15-20 yrs old. Caught up a little bit with them, but regrettably not enough—one more reason for me to seriously consider planned diplomacy. Tossing off a casual “hey how are you let’s catch up someday” email is not (alas!) something I can do with ease.

After Red, cabbed home with Josh and Claire, both of whom live near the Coronation/Bukit Timah area where I used to live as well. Passed by Nanyang Primary, which I havne't set eyes on for...4?5? years. But was too sleepy to feel anything more than vague surprise, muddled pleasure and nostalgia. Was home late, and knew had to help my cousin with some Civil Service 1,500-word essay, so realized sadly would not be able to make church on Sun. Sorry God!
