Avatar

(Part crafted literary piece, part diary entry)


I strive to represent something other than myself, something larger than myself. In a world of unconscious choices I make the deliberate decision as to who I will and want to be. In a land of twisted cobblestones and labyrinthine tracks I choose the footpath I must and yet willingly tread. In so doing I am being something other than myself, something larger than myself.

In short,
I am more than human, and hence merely human.

Postscript: It seems somehow immanent of a human, that s/he is more than a human. Like a number that is defined as being the number that is one larger than itself. In the case of said number, the only number that fits that description is infinity. In the case of the human...
