New layout
Finally overhauled my blog template to something easy to tweak, with the result being evident for all to see. Also been quite busy and even my diary is lagging behind considerably. Just so I won't forget things however, a quick recap of the past week:
Monday (25/7)--saw eye doctor. My eyes are fine. Hurrah.
Tuesday--Had dinner with Phoebe Dennis and Pak at Hee It Restaurant near my place. Good food, esp the "Japan style pork" (sic). Then went down with Dennis and Pak to watch Claire's gig at the Prince of Wales.
Wednesday--Learnt cooking at Josh's place, with Joel and Sarah. Aglio Oglio. Whee! Even helped a bit. Moderate catatrophe when the oven died on us, resulting in slightly-less-than-optimal crisp baked pork. Had good dinner and wine afterwards, and good bridge. Ended the day tired out.
Thurs--Met with Adrian to plan the DnD campaign.
Fri--Missed Lit S--too busy to go this week. Had dinner with the Dukies. Only pfrosh there however. But had good conversation with the folks, so doesn't matter.
Sat--Bible quiz, which I helped run in the afternoon. Left for YR jamboree at WT's place. Nice little apartment. Met old Julius after all these years, and other interesting folks from various professions/colleges, depending on their age. Mildly interesting conversation, and very interesting (and amusing) dance by JK, who owed WT an unspecified "favour".
Sun--Final (?) Sheesh! meet, which joyce couldn't attend. Sad. Tentative Sheesh! farewell at Marina steamboat place on 8 Aug 5pm. Went with Sicheng for dinner with Claire, who had overslept and was late and very apologetic (lol). Congenial evening with good conversation and some amusing moments.
