A ho-hum post

...but better than nothing, I hope. I really should write more often now, as it is many thoughts and reflections are slipping by like water throguh a sieve. A decent blog of mine should be less diary and more pool table (hang around, shoot up some ideas/thoughts, sink a few shots, miss many more...you get the idea.)

As a break from things Lit-like I've just finished (re-)reading an old classic, Dr Stephen Hawking's Brief History of Time aka "PHD level physiscs for Dummies". Really, even I could understand his elucidations on event horizons, (not-so) black holes, string theory, classical vs quantum laws of physics, Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle and its shocking implication on four-dimensional space-time (vis that the Universe has no beginning and no end--so what place God?). Yes it's a really old book, but hopefully it isn't too terribly outdated. Anyone know a decent "String Theory for Dummies" type book?

But back to Lit, I'm embarking on Kafka's Metamorphosis. The volume looks comfortingly slim. Perhaps I will finish reading it by tomorrow. Truly digesting it may take substantially longer.
